Hi fellow bloggers and bloggees. Welcome back! I have really enjoyed having a place I can share all of my interests and I hope you have too! I really appreciate all of your comments and feedback, it’s great to hear from likeminded people. It definitely gives my wife a break anyway!

So for today’s blog entry I wanted to share with you guys a new hobby of mine, I say new but really it has always been there. I have basically always had an eye for glass bottles but I guess more recently my interest has turned into a full blown hobby. Anywhere I go to I am on the lookout for cool and unique bottles. If I drink at a bar I will order an artisan bottled beer just so I can take the bottle away with me and I will also buy alcohol from a shop purely based on the shape of the bottle it is in. Sometimes even the cheapest alcohol has an unusual bottle design which is often hidden by all of the brash labelling but for someone with 'the' eye this will never go unnoticed! This means that I have A LOT of different bottles and I am always trying to think of new ways to use them. Sometimes it can be as simple as cleaning the bottle and taking off the labels and then using them as water jugs. This is particularly nice if you have guests coming round. Keeping flowers in them is perhaps another more obvious use. I also love to make my own cold brew coffee which looks really cool in a glass bottle with a cork in the top. More adventurous ideas include cutting them in half and using them as drinking glasses and also - perhaps the most impressive - making bespoke lighting out of them...

Let me know what you think of my hobby and in particular any interesting ideas you may have that I haven’t mentioned.
